If you wondering why his face is pink it is because they maced him so much.
Cops can actually use other weapons than guns if you have the right complexion for protection.
Just after 4:30 p.m. April 24 police were called to a larceny in progress at Golden Corral, 1501 W. I-240 Service Road. Police learned that a man had broken into a construction box on scene and stolen several thousand dollars worth of tools.
Officers were able to track the man to the pedestrian bridge over I-240 between Pennsylvania and Western. The man then ran from officers to a nearby apartment complex where he was confronted by police.
The man, later identified as 39-year-old Jeremy Hughes, was then involved in an altercation with an officer. Police say the officer sprayed pepper spray in Hughes’ face, to no effect. At one point, Hughes allegedly struck the officer in the head with a “bag of tent poles”.
A second officer arrived on scene and hit Hughes with a taser. The item had no effect on the man. One of the officers then used pepper spray on Hughes’ face a second time and they were able to take him into custody.
He was taken to hospital for his injuries. I bet they got him a sandwich too.
