Rob Gronkowski’s horse, that he named after himself, unfortunately will not be competing in the Kentucky Derby next weekend.
Rob Gronkowski (the Horse) qualified for the Derby after a victory at the Listed Burradon Stakes in Newcastle, England.
According to ESPN, Phoenix Thoroughbred Ownership Group, who co-owns the horse with the Patriots tight-end, announce that Gronk the Horse came down with a fever and will not be able to make the trip up to Churchill Downs.
We very much regret that #Gronkowski will miss the @KentuckyDerby after spiking a fever over the weekend and being treated with antibiotics. He can't make the long journey to Louisville but is doing well pic.twitter.com/71CqtWnDub
