Luc Mbah a Moute suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Rockets 105-99 win over the Lakers last night. He returned to Houston today to undergo an MRI and his return is unclear for the playoffs as he is expected to at least miss the first round, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Mbah a Moute sustained the injury as a result of a dunk in the first half of the game. He is averaging seven points and three rebounds for Houston this season. He has played in 61 games.
Despite Luc Mbah a Moute’s absence, the Rockets are still one of the most deep and dominant teams in the league. They stand at 65-16, the one seed in the Western Conference playoffs, and have clinched homecourt advantage throughout the conference.
