When LaVar Ball isn’t yelling on daytime television or making ridiculous statements about his son Lonzo being better than Steph Curry, it seems the media doesn’t consider anything else news.
When the Ball family formally announced plans to develop a league that talented high school players could seek instead of playing college ball, with the ability to make some money off their sweat; many said he was trying to create a league to line his pockets & enhance the BIG BALLER BRAND.
Instead, it appears the Junior Basketball Association is getting off to a smooth start & the word has gotten out, judging from the number of kids already coming out.
This is a great opportunity for those that want it, and LaVar should be applauded for bringing more options into the fold for these players. For some, the traditional college route is fine, but at least someone is trying to change the status quo, when we’ve reached a time where young athletes are becoming more aware of the influence they possess.
