The Sixers had no issues with the Heat in the first round as they cruised to a 4-1 series win. Philly now takes on the Celtics in Boston tonight in Game 1 and they believe that it’ll be a tougher environment to playing in compared to Miami.
“When we were in Miami, the gym was half-empty,” said Ersan Ilysova.(Via ESPN) “But when you go to Boston, you will feel it. Even in the regular season, you know when you play that team, the arena is full, and they’re really committed fans. “It’s always tough to play at their place. It’s always crowded, and we have to come up with a lot of energy and edge to win the game.”
Guard J.J Redick also recalled how during his tenure with the Magic, he played some of his most intense playoff games in Boston. Coming into the playoffs, many believed that the Sixers would struggle due to lack of playoff experience. That hasn’t been the case as they’re undefeated on the road in the playoffs and will look to make it 3-0 tonight in Boston.
Game 1 tips off at 8PM ET on TNT.
