Lamar Jackson was a sensation during his three years at Louisville. He earned the Heisman trophy in 2016 and almost won it again in 2017 as his 2017 stats improved even more.
According to Bleacher Report, sources say that teams have interviewed Jackson since the NFL Combine and they have been impressed with his intelligence on and off the field. Sources are also saying that the Patriots are the most interested in him.
While a team that is looking for a starting QB immediately do also seem likely to pick up Jackson in the mid-late first round, it would make sense for him to learn the game from Tom Brady and develop. This could be Brady’s last season as he turns 41 before the regular season starts. Jackson could also possibly be the heir to Brady after New England traded away Jimmy Garoppolo.
