After British promoter, Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Boxing unveiled the details of a mega $1 billion dollar deal with sports streaming service DAZN and a plan to put on 16 US-based boxing events, he made his next move was to sign American fighters.

A number of the top-ranked fighters in the US have an official promoter, (Top Rank, Golden Boy, and K2 Promotions) while a larger concentration resides under the advisory umbrella of Al Haymon and the Premier Boxing Champions platform. Fighters Hearn is showing considerable interest in.

Adrien Broner announced in unconventional fashion, aka social media, to let the masses know that talks had been underway with Hearn and to share his unfiltered thoughts on the offer and whether or not he would be accepting what he called a “slave” deal.
