Toronto police are searching for suspects that shot and killed a man outside of restaurant co-owned by Drake over the weekend.
According to CBC News, Jaiden Jackson was exiting Pick 6 restaurant when two men jumped out of a black Honda Civic and opened fired on Jackson who was accompanied by a female companion.
A 28-year-old man named Jaiden Jackson was at the restaurant and sports bar when he left with an unidentified woman around 9 p.m. The pair was walking west on the north side of Wellington Street, just west of Yonge Street, when a black Honda Civic came upon them. Two men allegedly jumped out of the car and opened fire on the couple, apparently aiming at the man.
Police say Jackson was able to flee to a parking garage but the driver and two gunmen chased him down. After firing off “numerous” shots, police say the suspects fled and were last seen heading west on Wellington Street.
When cops arrived, Jackson was found in critical condition, before eventually being taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.
It’s unclear if Jackson’s female companion suffered any injuries. Drake hasn’t commented on the incident publically.
