JJ Redick Tells Story About How Celtics Jaylen Brown Called Him a B*tch, But Redick Said He Punked Him and Brown Apologized; Believe it or Not?

Trash talking in the NBA isn’t what it used to be.

From greats like Gary Payton, Kobe Bryant, and even Kevin Garnett. When those players talked trash to you, they didn’t apologize or even have drinks after the game or series. No, these players really didn’t like you and that’s just how the NBA was. Now, LeBron James will step over Draymond Green, get him ejected and then a few years later sit back and have wine with one him in a barbershop talking about their “battles.”

J.J. Redick was on Bill Simmons podcast, The BS Report, and discussed an interaction with sophomore star Jaylen Brown according to SLAM magazine.

“When we played in London, Jaylen was guarding me in that game. At some point in the second half, he called me a bitch. I looked at him and was like, ‘I don’t play that.’ He was like, ‘Oh, I’m sorry.”

Wait a damn minute, Brown actually apologized to Redick for calling him out of his name. Yeah, this is definitely a new league. Have some backbone. It’s comical that he really apologized. I’d like to hope that Brown gets better with his trash talk. Maybe a sit down with Payton or Kobe on how to get into a players head and never apologize for comments made unless they cross the line.
