Kobe Gives Advice On How To Slow Down LeBron

LeBron James has made his presence felt this postseason. We’ve seen him drop multiple game-winning shots at the buzzer to defeat the Raptors which resulted in a sweep of them for the second straight year. The question still remains is if there’s any way to stop the king.

Kobe Bryant was on the Chris & Caron radio show on Fox Sports to discuss how to contain James. Bryant simply said that defenders need to stop James from driving to his left. This was evident in game three when James was able to get a floater that banked off the backboard for the win. James’ sheer strength helped him get into the lane he needed to get a good shot off.

“For one thing, you have to stop letting him go left,” said Bryant. “Every big shot that he makes is going left. He’s remarkable about getting to that left hand and being able to raise up and shoot. That’s the first thing I would do, disrupt his ability to go left.”

Whoever advances between the Celtics and Sixers, they will also have the difficult task of stopping James from his left side. Both teams are young and therefore, will have to use their big men to limit James’ ability to get the shot he always wants. Al Horford or Joel Embiid would be good fits to try to lock James on.
