After the death of XXXtentacion, his ex-girlfriend Geneva Ayala has been attacked by XXX fans for grieving, saying they feel that she should be happy it’s gone since she “ruined his reputation”. Ms. Ayala says she loved XXX and this hurts her just as much as it would anyone else that cared about him. In 2016, Ayala alleged that the rapper beat her, causing her to need surgery. For this, fans have bullied her all week. She posted to her Twitter to say enough is enough.
i know y’all don’t fuck w me, but this isn’t about me. just please stop tagging me in disrespectful threads and arguments. i honestly don’t care for any of the hype. i lost someone close to me. leave me alone.

it’s disgusting that people are speaking for me. i don’t care if no one cared about me however many months ago, i didn’t lose my life. he did. it’s permanent. i’m still here. like how do you think that makes me feel? everyone expecting me to be relieved or happy?! no, i’m broken.

This cry for patience and understand did no good, because hours later, she was forcibly dragged from XXXtentacion’s candlelight vigil, with fans and other attendees saying she didn’t belong there. After she left, an angry group set fire to gifts and memorabilia that Ayala had left to pay her respects. Regardless of the circumstances of their relationship or XXX’s death, no one deserves this kind of treatment during a difficult time.
