Super Bowl winning offensive lineman Erick Williams is in the news due to his son’s alleged involvement in a double murder in Mesquite, Texas. According to TMZ Sports, the former Pro Bowl player’s son Cassius Shakembe Williams and another unnamed man have been arrested for the murder of two men on June 12.
TMZ Sports is reporting that Williams and his friend were attempting to buy marijuana from the two victims and attempted to take the marijuana at gunpoint:
Officials believe the victims were attempting to sell marijuana to Williams and his friend, when the buyers pulled out guns and demanded they hand over the weed.
Shots were fired and the two alleged dealers were killed.
Williams’ son was also a former football player at Central State at 6’1″ and 290 lbs he also played on the offensive line like his father. He has been charged with capital murder in the case which could lead to the death penalty.
