Greg Hardy has made a name for himself for all the wrong reasons. The man who was once know for getting to the quarterback in Carolina, is now fighting to reclaim the good stake in his name. After several incidents of domestic violence and battery assault, Hardy now has a sinister reputation. Just sinister enough for Dana White and the UFC. Hardy had his firs debut fight Tuesday Night during Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series, he recorded a 57-second knockout victory over Austen Lane. After his fight Hardy spoke to TMZ Sports about his excitement for the future.
“I’m feeling great. I’m feeling positive. I’m feeling excited. I’m ready to go … ready to take this next step and see where it takes us.”
While Hardy had a great debut, the loudest voice in the room is still the voice of the oppressed. If any word of violence outside of the ring is attached to Hardy name, its over. Dana White even knows that.
“He’s the type of athlete, and he’s the type of guy that, if he does anything wrong, there will be no mercy for him,” White said. “I mean, everybody’s going to jump on him. You talk to the people in his camp, they love the guy. Men and women. They think he’s a great guy and a guy who (was) probably doing drugs, drinking and made a big mistake.
