Earlier today, Channing Frye agreed to re-join the Cleveland Cavaliers for the second time in his career on a one-year, $2.4 million deal.
Frye played with the Cavs for three seasons, including their 2016 Championship run.
On paper, the LeBron-less Cavs do not seem like they are going to have very much horse power on their roster coming into the 2018 NBA season at all.
The Cavs are really going to need to rely on rookie PG and No. 8 Overall Pick in the NBA Draft, Collin Sexton, early and often this year.
Still, that did not stop Frye’s new Cavaliers teammate, Jordan Clarkson, from making some pretty lofty guarantees on the Cavs’ future, minus LeBron James:
I feel like we’re going to shock a lot of people this year just because LeBron left…I feel great about the team, coaching staff. They got a lot of belief in guys, so I’m just ready to strap it up and get ready for the season now.
Channing Frye, on the other hand, is singing a completely different tune than his Cavs running-mate.
