Charles Oakley was known as the enforcer during his time in the NBA. This time around the law is being enforced on him after he attempted to cheat during a gambling session according to TMZ Sports.
Officials from the Nevada Gaming Board told TMZ,
“He was suspected of adding to or reducing his wager on a gambling game after the outcome was known.”
Oakley attempted to put back a $100 chip after realizing he was going to lose. Security confronted Oakley, reviewed the footage of him cheating and was later booked into Clark County Detention Center. The charge to commit a fraudulent act in a gaming establishment is between one to 6 years in prison if convicted.
Sources close to Oakley believe this won’t be an issue and will be resolved. Don’t forget Oakley is also a coaching in Ice Cube’s league the BIG3 for Killer 3’s. Will there be disciplinary action from Cube, stay tuned for more updates.
