The Jaguars had arguably the best defense in the NFL in 2017 and it showed as they took Jacksonville to the AFC Championship Game but fell short against the Patriots. While they did lose QB Blake Bortles’ top WR Allen Robinson to the Bears, DT Malik Jackson is very optimistic about 2018.
TMZ Sports caught up with Jackson and got his thoughts on his Jacksonville team in 2018. Jackson made the bold prediction that they will finish 16-0.
“I’m callin’ it, 16-0. I don’t think anybody can beat us as long as we stay healthy and do what we’re supposed to do. We went to the AFC Championship Game last year and we were this close.”
Yes, the Jags have an amazing defense but I don’t have that much faith in Bortles taking the team to a second straight conference title game. The division rival Texans could take that spot as they will have a healthy Deshaun Watson back at QB.
