You may recalled that Mike Tyson got into an incident with a photographer at the Los Angeles airport a few months back.
Tyson was briefly detained and later released.
From all of the information I gathered at the time it was the photographer who was totally at fault (you can read the whole story here). Read more…
I am still perturb that Plaxico could get two years in prison for “shooting himself” while T.I. a convicted felony served less than a year for being caught red handed trying to buy enough artillery to play Call of Duty for the next decade.
So while everyone else is celebrating New Year’s eve with friends and family Plax will be in prison. Which once again shows you how messed up our justice system.
TMZ.com has found out what is on the menu for Plax last meal of 2009: Read more…
I would like to point out that one of the first things many steroids, HGH and EPOs users do when they are back into a corner is file a lawsuit.
Not saying that Manny Pacquiao is cheating, but he sure is doing a whole lot to prove he isn’t cheating except one important thing:

This isn’t unexpected since I predicted it yesterday. The AD has been trying to get rid of Leach for years and the situation with Adam James which was totally overblown was his convenient excuse. Plus they didn’t want to pay his $800,000 end of the year bonus.
I personally think Leach should sued for wrongful termination because it is obvious this is an organized plot by the university to get rid of him.
I feel sad for the kids at Texas Tech, Leach was a bit eccentric but he took that program for an also ran to respectable and then close to National Championship potential. Read more…
Acquisitions are a big part of all team sports; the right ones can lead to championships while the wrong ones can lead to disasters. Which were the best acquisitions of the decade? Again, I’m trying to look at pickups that directly led to titles or changed the fortunes of teams entirely. Picking up an all-star and finishing a game or two better doesn’t count here. I’m talking real franchise changers. Here we go: Read more…
I have a few friends in Texas and who know a lot about the Texas Tech program, so the information I am giving you is based off those conversations.
To a man they say Craig James’ son Adam James is soft and a prima donna who ran to his dad basically for being treated like a regular player on the team.
It is not unusual for a kid of privilege to think he is “better” or “bigger” than the team. Craig James has a lot of influence especially in Texas, so this was made into a bigger deal that it really is. Read more…
No one has seen Tiger Woods for a month. There has been sightings allegedly but no pictures. For all we know Tiger is Bolivia or Canada.
There are reports he was in Florida with Rachel Uchitel (i.e. Mistress #1).
People are playing a Where’s Waldo game with Tiger Woods. Of course anyone snapping a picture of Tiger anywhere has $$$$ signs in their eyes. Read more…
With the decade winding down, it’s time to recap the best and worst of the last ten years. While there are going to be a lot of these lists, I’m trying to do it a little different here. So to start off, here are my top fails of the decade. Now I’m not just going to run off a bunch of bad teams and be done. A bad team that we all expected to be bad is not news. But those ventures which came in with fanfare, with hype, with real aspirations only to fall way, way short..that’s my definition of fail. The things that were built up to the point where you wondered if the media were on that person’s payroll or if the management was on drugs, those are what qualify. So here we go. Read more…
I’m sure that Mercury Morris and the rest of the remaining ’72 Dolphins enjoyed popping another champagne bottle as the Colts fell to the Jets this week. I have a problem with that because the Colts had no business losing that game. Jim Caldwell shouldn’t have pulled Manning and other key starters early in the 3rd quarter with only a small lead. Although the pursuit of a perfect season is secondary to winning a NFL championship, it’s still something to rally for when you are so close. I always felt they had a better chance at it than the Saints during this run, but the Saints were trying to win ever game. They got beat by Dallas, and subsequently by Tampa Bay because those two teams were also playing to win. Read more…
Railing from 2 consecutive losses, Brett Favre and his legion of purple and gold warriors are beginning to feel the cold. While they rest comfortably at 11-3, their foothold on a no. 2 seed in the NFC is slipping away. Not that Favre’s fondness for throwing interceptions is the sole factor in this dip to mediocrity, other Vikings have had a hand in the teams recent demise. Yet, history speaks for itself and since 2005, Favre has notably dipped in accuracy and performance when the temperature drops and as the season neared the playoffs. Although struggling with Jay Cutler at the helm, the Chicago Bears have one chance to oust their NFC North rival and that is to pressure an already shaky ‘Old Armslinger’ into pass happy inferiority. Will the Bears manage to put the Vikings on ice or will the Vikings thaw out from a chilling losing streak? Read more…
