Video: Arthur Abraham 12th Round KO of Jermain Taylor Written by: Robert Littal
I love the Showtime Super Six Super Middleweight Boxing Classic. So often great matchups in Boxing never happened because of politics, but I don’t know how Showtime pulled it off, but it got the best six Super Middleweights to agree to this round robin tournament.
The tournament got off with a bang with Arthur Abraham 12th round KO of Jermain Taylor. The fight wasn’t a thing about beauty, but the ending was explosive.
Abraham just explodes with a straight right hand that knocks Taylor out cold.
The fight was eerily similar to Taylor’s lose against Carl Froch where he suffered a 12th round KO.
The right hand he was dropped with was similar to the one Kelly Pavlik put Taylor down with. If not for the tournament Taylor career would probably be over, but because of the unique round robin format Taylor will have an opportunity to redeem himself, but at this point what does Taylor have left in the tank?
He appears to be a “shot” fighter.
