The Truth Why Sammy Sosa’s Face Looks Like Michael Jackson
By now everyone has seen the pics of Sammy Sosa looking like an extra for the MJ movie “This is It”. There was a lot of speculation of what cause Sammy to look like he was trying out for an Eddie Murphy movie (see Coming to American in the barbershop).
Some thought it was the disease “vitiligio”, others thought maybe a steroid side effect (Kate Hudson was paying close attention) and I personally thought maybe it was a Batman/Joker situation where he was battling Roger Clemens and fell into tub of chemicals.
Alas according to some of Sosa’s friends there is a reasonable explanation. This is from Chicago Tribune.
“He is going through a rejuvenation process for his skin,” Polihronis said. “Women have it all of the time. He was surprised he came out looking so white. I thought it was a body double. Part of (the photo appearance) is just the lighting.
“He is in the middle of doing a cleansing process to his skin. The picture is deceiving. He said, ‘If you saw me in person, you would be surprised. When you see me in person, it is not going to seem like the picture.’
“People who saw him in person did not react the same way. He can’t believe it is such a big deal.”
So according to Miss Polihronis, Sosa was just getting his “ProActiv” on and it went horribly wrong.
Even if this isn’t the truth who cares if Sammy wants to look like Dolly Parton more power to him. Not like looking white is going to get him into the Hall of Fame. Just ask Mark McGwire.
