Video: DeAngelo Hall Tries To Brawl With Falcons Coach Mike Smith

DeAngelo Hall is a clown and have always been a clown. After Laron Landry put a late hit on Matt Ryan check out Hall act as if he was going to fight the entire Falcons bench including coach Mike Smith.
When I think of DeAngelo Hall a Jay Z line comes to mind:
“You know the type / Loud as a Motorbike / But wouldn’t bust a grape in a fruit fight”
SMH. I think that says it all.
*UPDATE*
Here is what DeAngelo Hall had to say about the incident:
“I’m going to get on the horn with Commissioner Goodell and we’re going to figure out a way how to nip this in the bud,” Hall said. “It’s different with me coming in trying to break stuff up and as a strength coach, if you coming at me and you’re trying to get (expletive) licks, that ain’t how you do things.
“They need to have some repercussions and something needs to happen to them, too. I’m definitely going to get on the phone with some of my guys up there and we’re going to try to figure out a way to nip this thing in the bud.”
I will say this Mike Smith should have stayed out of it. He is the head coach and he has to keep his cool. I don’t think Hall was just being a peace keeper either.
There are unconfirmed reports that Hall challenged Smith to an actual fight after the game, but like I said that is unconfirmed as of right now.
One of the many problems with the Redskins is that Hall is the spokesperson for their defense which is a recipe for disaster. I feel for London Fletcher.
If Jim Zorn had any power at all he would get rid of Hall, but since he is nothing but a puppet at this point just expect more of the same for the rest of the year.

Matt Ryan got into it a little with Landry too, it looks like.
November 9th, 2009 at 12:58 am
You guys are f'n crazy. I don't like Hall myself, but you guys must be blind. He comes over to break stuff up and right away one of the strength coaches GRABS and HOLDS him as the whole Falcons team starts pushing and shoving him. Then Smith comes in like his old ass is going to do something…
Landry and the late hit, shouldn't have happened, but saying that Hall is at fault there is bullshit.

November 9th, 2009 at 2:22 am
clearly deangelo hall was the big reason for this mess the coaches started the scruffle and if u look at the video hall wasnt paying any attention to coach mike smith before smith came over and even threw a jab or two it evident that the coaches were in the wrong so no one over look that just because of hall character doesnt mean he is always at fault case in point this scruffle right here
November 9th, 2009 at 2:24 am
really if your going to be a head coach u should act like one instead of a asshole
November 9th, 2009 at 2:25 am
To bad he couldn't muster that team spirit, balls, when he was stealing from the Raiders and the Falcons.
Just another azz hole who gets paid way too much to do nothing more than run his mouth.
Loser…in a word.

A COACH SHOULD LET OFFICIALS HANDLE THINGS THAT'S WHAT THEY'RE THERE FOR
OR ELSE WE SEE THE CHAIN REACTION LIKE WE SEE HERE AND DEANGELO TAKES THE BLAME

I think they were both were at fault

I’ve never been a D. Hall fan. But to blame him for this ruckus is totally wrong. Laron Landry and a few Falcons players and coaches started this mess. It’s clear from the videotape that Hall didn’t do anything until he is grabbed from the back…and it appears that Mike Smith shoves him. Coach Smith lost his head. I guess you wanted to throw D. Hall into the mix because he is known for bad behavior. So now you can tell what Hall’s intentions were….Wow!!
November 9th, 2009 at 4:30 am
It is hard to give Hall the title of peacemaker when he said himself he was "out for revenge"
November 9th, 2009 at 4:36 am
Looks like Ryan and Landry talked it out quickly
I mean Ryan doesn't look like he was leveled he just got pushed really hard so I doubt he'd cry about it too much I don't know that's just what I see
November 9th, 2009 at 8:14 am
it was a realy late hit
November 9th, 2009 at 8:15 am
Hall went into their bench. most posters musta never played any sports
November 9th, 2009 at 8:19 am
landry went back to the center of the field and hall into the bench for no reason,he will be gone outa football with in a year
November 9th, 2009 at 9:15 am
Watched the game hall was running behind Landry just in case Ryan got past him basic football….. he ended up over in the bench area too but they didn't go after Landry for the hit they went after the ex falcon………… if you watch the footage he pushed Landry out of there before they grabbed him!
November 9th, 2009 at 2:08 pm
How can you call him a clown. Its people like yourself who never give anyone a second chance. Hall has been known to be a trouble maker, however, I believe he did come over there with good intentions. His team mate put a late hit on a quarterback infront of the opposing teams bench, there not gonna greet his team mate nicely and peacefully.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:11 pm
he went to there "sideline" after his team mate put a late hit on there quarterback. Anyone who plays football or have played, would go over there to make sure nothing happened, because, I know If a guy from the opposite team put a late hit on my quarterback infront of our sidelines, it wouldnt be a good situation for him ,…
so yeah its obvious who never played football before …
November 9th, 2009 at 2:39 pm
Both of these guys need some anger management control. Even in the toughest part of any game you have to stay in control of your temper. The yellow flag hurts your team–and the Redskins need all the help they can get.
November 9th, 2009 at 2:55 pm
Atlanta coaches and players are the problem. It was a late hit, however, that's why they have officials. The flag had been thrown, everyone else should have allowed DeAngelo and his teammate to re-enter the field without any words exchanged. As I see it, the teamed swarmed DeAngelo with a Coach grabbing him. Had it been me, the Coach would have needed some kind of medical care afterwards. He should have been grabbing his own players instead of an opponent. When the players see this kind of behavior from supposedly leader it sends the message that we too can act out. Players are a product of their leadership.

Robert Liital: Retitle this, you little sh!t. It should be "Mike Smith tries to start fight with Redskins player."
November 9th, 2009 at 4:25 pm
I dont know why smith started this in my opinion. He should just stayed on the sideline where he stands. What about if Hall would of hit that old man .It would of still been coach smith fault.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:28 am
Your mother loves niggers. how do you think that you got here? Dumb ass !!!
November 9th, 2009 at 4:47 pm
Apparently you are just as delusional and as blind as Chris Chase. Is it a journalistic thing, where as soon as you start writing (or blogging) that suddenly your eyes go through "white-a-vision"? Do you really think that any player would take on an entire team, in their bench? Yeah, your use of that Jay Z line tells me that you're probably VERY familiar with "fruit fights." I'm pretty sure D. Hall would bust your ass.
November 9th, 2009 at 7:57 pm
Robert You must be one of the blind guys or just trying to add something..lol

I am definitely not afraid of D. Hall who doesn't even like to tackle anyone. But if you think Hall just went over there to be a peacemaker you are dellusional. I even point out that Smith was wrong as well.

Another loser punk, making too much money, playin' like a thug. Soon he will only be a "remember when?"
November 9th, 2009 at 4:21 pm
Truth: Hall is a career primadonna that can’t tackle worth a damn.
Truth: Hall should never have gone over there…like JayZ says “Mouth like a motorcycle, but couldnt break a grape in a fruit fight”.
Truth: Falcons’ coaches were straight up out of line as well. Let the refs handle the penalizing aspect of the late hit.
MAJOR TRUTH: THAT RACIST WHO POSTED UP EARLIER IS A COWARD. I’M A MIDSIZED WHITE BOY BUT I’LL MEET YOUR RACIST A$$ ANYTIME SUCKER. GUYS LIKE YOU PUSH RACE RELATIONS BACK FOR THE REST OF US NORMAL PEOPLE ON BOTH SIDES. JERK…ITS NOT THE FIFTIES ANYMORE PAL: GET WITH THE TIMES. November 9th, 2009 at 9:46 pm
This is all The Falcon coaches fault, Hall was just in the wrong place at the right time. Mike Smith should be fined for even getting in the mix. Lucky he didn't get his ass kicked.

November 9th, 2009 at 10:46 pm
racist lil s***…………… f the falcons they suck balls
November 9th, 2009 at 11:01 pm
I've seen all these posts, and so many feel as if Hall is to blame…ok, he shouldn't have started what he did, but Smith as the head coach had no business getting in the middle of it. Landry and Ryan as you saw in the clip ran on to the field together. This is beyond the players, the owners, or teams themselves. Its the individuals that will have to take responsibility for their actions. On a side note, its the ONLY sign of life I have seen out of the Redskins all season. I praise their guts and ability to take out their frustrations…piece of advice though…if you play like you fight, you might actually win a couple games…this coming from a HUGE Redskins fan.
November 9th, 2009 at 11:14 pm
It's just a suggestion, but don't call someone a clown and then fuck up your verb conjugation. ('he HAS always been a clown', not 'he HAVE always been a clown'). It makes you look like, a hypocrite and a clown. Has you always been one?
November 9th, 2009 at 11:45 pm
This is why I love Coach Smith!! He is hard-nosed and will always stick up for his players!! DeAngelo is a thug and had no business on the sideline and I am glad Smitty got in there to defend his players against this idiot. Oh yeah, Smitty got in someone's face last year who tried to come over to our sideline. Smitty loves his players and his players love him which is why he will be a great coach for the Atlanta Falcons for years!!
November 9th, 2009 at 11:49 pm
whoever thinks this wasnt halls fault is insane. there wasnt anything to break up. landry got up and ran back on the field, that should have been it. i take that back, hall himself actually got in his way a bit. hall came over there starting $h!t. yeah he was grabbed by the strength coach. that guy isnt clean, but come on, you cant run into THEIR sidelines talkin $h!t and expect to get away with it. Smith CLEARLY came into the fray trying to break it up, trying to get him away from the sidelines. he is clean.
November 10th, 2009 at 12:14 am
DeAngelo Hall is a clown and HAVE always been a clown? C'mon son.
November 10th, 2009 at 12:21 am
He IS at fault playa!
November 10th, 2009 at 12:27 am
i agree that it was dumb move on the part of Hall but its football and he will get his. but dont take it any further than that. must who think otherwise has never played the game or they are soft. PLAY BALL
November 10th, 2009 at 12:31 am
Your right hall didn't start it and the Falcon's coach jumped in his face… I like Hall even when he was with those bums, he didn't take no sh@#, but with sayin that, I wish he would be smarter about it…
November 10th, 2009 at 12:32 am

bulls22t he was still in bounds ! Old dudes shouldnt try to fight young dudes. stuuupid!
November 10th, 2009 at 12:46 am
Hall has always been a loud mouth trouble maker. His mouth is better than his talent. He was a joke when he was at Atlanta and a trouble maker as well.He is a joke at Washinton , nothing has changed.Bad attitudes are not roll models for anyone.I would love to see Hall's career over in the NFL.Who wants a child representing their team that is really not that good of player.
November 10th, 2009 at 12:46 am
YOUR FULL OF IT GRIFF. THESE GUYS ARE PROFESSIONALS (SUPPOSEDELY) THEY NEED TO ACT LIKE IT…EVEN IF OTHERS AROUND THEM ARE NOT….RYAN AND LANDRY BOTH WERE GOING BACK TO THE FIELD…IT WAS HALL WHO WENT TOWARD THE SIDELINES….HE'S JUST ANOTHER THUG…
November 10th, 2009 at 12:47 am
just another rich thug
November 10th, 2009 at 12:54 am
Your grammer is about as offensive as the game was
November 10th, 2009 at 1:32 am
I get sick of this shit. It should be "actions" that places blame not "history". Or is it….with no other way to blame that crooked-english-speaking, tatooed-up, muslim-beard-having, black guy; you go to his history. His actions didn't convict him, but his history did. GET REAL. You let a man put his hands on you. Civilized or not, all bets are off when you put your hands on someone. More than a few white men cannnot get used to this "boldness" being displayed by these young black men. And if you pissed cause they are overpaid (which I happen to think so) you cannot blame them no more than you blame the system that exploited them. What this be (i meant that, "be") is another stay-in-your-place episode. Smith was the elder of the situation, he handled it all wrong. Why in the hell does he get a pass on this. Hall had the audicity to speak boldly in his on defense, that's what this is about. Sorry if that is so disturbing. Some of them think "Obama" has given us a new found swag. I got news for you…..we've been arrogant since Jack Johnson. God forbid! if a gladiator gets out of line.
November 10th, 2009 at 2:21 am
Why don't the sorry azz redskins use some of that aggression on the field, maybe that way they could win some games!!
November 10th, 2009 at 2:45 am
MAN DAT WAS MESSED UP…DAT COACH SHOULDNT HAVE GRABBED HIM LIKE DAT…
November 10th, 2009 at 3:26 am
Went to their bench were his TEAMATE was alone and surrounded..guess you haven't played football, if you have I sure as hell wouldn't want to have to count on you in a pinch
November 10th, 2009 at 3:30 am
Yo dimwit some one already pointed out it's a sideline not a "bench"…Oh you must be thinkin' baseball; no that can't be it, MEN play that sport too…does Badmiton have a bench? LOL!

Bravo.. Signed Yo Brother from another Mother
November 10th, 2009 at 3:46 am
what did hall do so bad???
he came to get falcons off his teammate.
the falcons coach and players are the one that started this whole thing
open ur eyes mr. robert
November 10th, 2009 at 4:00 am
I'm not a Hall fan or Redskins fan. I am an Eagles fan. And from what I saw Mike Smith is more to blame then Hall. Hall is a waste of space and overpaid. But that doesn't make him guilty in this case. I really feel like the Falcon coaches were more to blame on this one.
November 10th, 2009 at 4:48 am
Hall tried to take on the whole team? Yeah right, you might be that stupid but I'm sure he isn't. Where do you come up with these ideas "There are unconfirmed reports that Hall challenged Smith to an actual fight after the game". Who said this? Where are these reports coming from? Sounds like some shit a nobody would write.
November 10th, 2009 at 5:06 am
Hall had no business over on the Falcon sideline Landry was already away from the Falcons bench when Hall pulled that crap. Hall just mad that Mike Smith almost kicked his @$$. Hall will probly take his place in histoty as just another wimp that made it into the NFL.
November 10th, 2009 at 10:05 am
The writer of this article is clearly a pathetic individual and journalist. Did you perhaps miss your online journalism class about being an Objective writer. Clearly you need to read more articles, and perhaps stop being a pompous ass and write in a way in which you are talking down about someone. You want to report something, fine, but do so in a manor where you can present the facts and you are able to convey your own rhetoric rather than your bias opinions to "woo" over your readers. No one is impressed with you calling Mr. Hall a clown and making jive comparisons about him and a line from a Jay Z song… be professional and learn to write a decent article, even if this pathetic blog is the best you can do…your not going to get anywhere deflecting your insecurities, and pathetic failures to become something real by targeting individuals who are merely looked down upon by people in society because of their past actions. Learn to come up with something new and fresh…learn to write a decent article with real substance.
Take for example, writing from the opposite perspective. An article about a once "thug" football player who gets attacked by a opponents coach. There you will have a real article full of your high school level drama, and present yourself a actual challenge trying to defend your opinion. Basically, your material needs to become real. I've showed this article to a few friends at different schools around the east coast and everyone feels the same about your poor ability to come up with a story of your own and perhaps being faced with deeper issues. Whatever the case, weather its a personal or professional issue, resolve it and I look forward to seeing you accept this challenge and changing your writing techniques and developing some good pieces in the near future…until then….
November 10th, 2009 at 11:21 am
Hall did NOT go over to sort things out. Landry was already out of the loop… Watch, Ryan kinds followed / chased him away. Flags were thrown.. Noise erupted in the stadium… Boo's for Landry and the Red Skins. (talk about racist – a black man playing for a team called the Red Skins – WTF? How in the hell does that happen?) Then Hall heads towards the Flacons bench… The Falcons staff that "put his hands" on Hall was probably trying to save Halls freaking life!!! Hall started running his trap and things got heated!! Not the smartest move on Halls part – he had no business on the Falcons sideline – what the hell kind of greeting did he expect over there? Freaking hot tea, crumpets, and a thanks old chap for your help in trying to screw up our franchise you spoiled loud mouthed freaking little titty baby bratt?? Well if that is what he was expecting (and should have been expecting based upon his relationship with the Atlanta team as a whole)
November 10th, 2009 at 3:29 pm
You have got to be kidding me??? Seriously, you truly believe what you wrote? What is scary is that is the sentiment you teach the children in your life. Hate and resentment? Jeez! Hall had no business on the Falcons sideline. Landry had ALREADY left and was heading back to the center of the field. Hall came over to pop of his mouth. And, the Falcons staff that "put his hands" on him probably saved Hall's freaking life! Get a life… This is not about race…This is about a titty baby starting crap and then crying and pointing his finger saying "He did it – He did it!" and you know exactly what I mean. Falcons did not go and grab Hall and drag him to their bench now did they?
November 10th, 2009 at 3:36 pm
For your great journalist critique of this article do you want the author to present the information in a large house "manor" or in a certain way "manner" ? Just a question for ya Letterman46?
November 10th, 2009 at 5:32 pm
c'mon….Hall is an African-American and as such, deserves another chance. Take your pick from below:
He's a good boy; he would never do anything like that.
He wasn't even there, says his mom; he was babysitting his little sister
His father left when he was young.
He never had a role model to look up to.
Jesse Jackson says Hall is a fine young man.
Al Sharpton would love him as a son.
Hall suffers from an eating disorder.
I'm his aunt and he's a good boy.
He was brought up in a bad neighborhood.
It's just not his fault.
yada yada yada

November 11th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
FIRE THE COACH. Then give him a psych eval, he obviously has deep seeded aggression. One day he attacks an NFL athlete, who tomorrow? These are the warning signs people exhibit.
November 11th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
Wow–a black man from the ghetto acting like his slave family from 1742, but the white boys see to it he lives better than a professor of Physics. Sounds like the rich 'thug' is just bust'n himself regular ya'll.
Society has made this bed since the 18th century—who is really to blame here—not Hall, that's for sure. In an intelligent society–this would have never happened to begin with-period. Deal with it– decendents
of those who stood by and did didly for 200+ years of hatred and prejudice.

The writer [Robert Littal] of this is a moron, plain and simple. He juust obviously has an axe to grind against Hall.
Landry did hit Ryan a bit late and flags were thrown as the should have. That should have been the end it. All Hall did was try to get Landry away from the obviously irate Falcons. The Falcon players and coaches escalated things. They are to blame, as any fool can see.

I recently bought a very cool CBR but had a little accident! I tried to slow down with the brake slowly and consistently with the front brakes but the wheel almost quickly fell out under from me! I have been on the back of a bike with a dood a few times who has even brought the rear wheel up into the air by braking hard with the forward brake! How does he do it different? Im dumbstruck!
