Breaking News: Urban Meyer Changes His Mind & Taking Leave of Absence
Considering I just wrote that entire article about Charlie Strong imagine my surprised when Chris Mortensen reports that Urban Meyer has changed him mind and is taking a leave of absence. Here are the particulars:
The source said that Meyer informed the team before boarding a plane to New Orleans that offensive coordinator Steve Addazio will take over head coaching duties until Meyer is ready to come back to the team.
There has been no timetable set on his return, though the source said it could be as early as next season.
Honestly I have no idea what is going on, but Meyer needs to stop jerking his team and university around and make a firm decision.
To my understand something like this has never been done in College Football before and the fact that there is no timetable makes it seem ever crazier.
Meyer needs to wait until the Bowl is over and make a firm decision to either coach or not.
