First I am going to throw a flag on Randy Moss post game outfit. David Stern would not be pleased.
With that being said he sounds like he is having a bit of mid life crisis.
Here are a couple of quotes per Profootballtalk.com
“I’ve been here for three years and this is my fourth season,” Moss said. “When it comes to football, I take my business seriously. I think there are some people are, I don’t want to say the organization, but I think around here in the New England area, there are some people who don’t want to see me do good. . . .
“Any thing I say will probably be blown out of proportion,” Moss said, giving us all more stuff that can be blown out of proportion. “Earlier in the week, I was asked a question about being unhappy and being unhappy doesn’t have anything to do with toning my game down. I’m here and I understand my role is to take the ball deep and take the top off the defense.”
Let me say one thing when the reports came out about Moss having a “outburst” I figured when I watched the video he would be dropping “F Bombs” and being ignorant.
Nothing could be further from the truth.
While he may not be feeling the love, nothing that he said was out of line. He said how he felt in regards to his media treatment and he is entitled to his opinion.
I think the media blew it way out of proportion, it is just Randy Moss expressing himself and once again there is nothing wrong with that at all.
Moss just like a lot of players be it Darelle Revis or Tom Brady want to feel wanted and wants to be paid.
Moss isn’t afraid to say it and to me he said it in a professional manner, but of course the bias mainstream media will pull out the “diva receiver” card, when in this case I do not feel it is warranted.
We say we want athletes to be honest and upfront. That is what Moss gave you, so don’t make it more than it is.
