Floyd Mayweather On Manny Pacquiao: “He is an Amateur”

Floyd Mayweather Jr. was not impressed with Manny Pacquiao’s performance against Joshua Clottey last Saturday.  In an interview with the Cager Report he had some pretty interesting things to say about the Pound for Pound king.  Here are some of the quotes:

“Personally, I think Pacquiao got exposed in that fight for being one-dimensional. You can have all [the] offensive ability in the world but with no defense you’re not going to last long against a good counter puncher such as myself. Look at the way Clottey was getting through, each time he threw something it landed. Then at the end Pacquiao’s was all busted up, when’s the last time you’ve seen my face all messed up like that? That’s the difference between an amateur and a true pound for pound boxer.” Read more…

Mike Tyson Gets Reality Show On “Bird Racing”..No Lie

This is much better idea than him getting back into the boxing ring. For those who don’t know Tyson has always had a love for birds, pigeons specifically.

The Animal Planet according to ContactMusic.com has green lighted a reality show called “Take on Tyson”.

Where they follow Tyson around New York and he put his pigeons in competition with the “best racing pigeons” owners in the NYC. Read more…

Video: Jim Lampley Wants to “Bang” Manny Pacquiao

I understand that it was a boring fight.

I understand Pacquiao is a HBO cash cow.

I understand that Lampley likes to “Bathwaterslurp” certain fighters.

But this is a bit strange and somewhat disturbing.

Joshua Clottey Should Be Ashamed Of His Performance Against Manny Pacquiao

It was around the 5th round when I started to hear phrases like:

“The fix is in!!”

“This is awful.”

“Why isn’t he throwing a punch?”

“Is Jim Lampley in love with Manny Pacquiao?”

“This sucks!!

“I want a refund.”

That was some of the PG comments, so of the other stuff I overheard I can not put on the site.  None of this was Manny Pacquiao’s fault (more on him later) this was all on Joshua Clottey.

The part of me that loves sports, the part of me that loves boxing doesn’t want to think anything fishy was going on in this bout, but if everything was on the up and up that leads me back to the Clottey and what was he thinking. Read more…

The Truth About Manny Pacquiao

Manny Pacquiao legacy is secure.  He has done some amazing things.  He was won titles in seven different weight classes.   Regardless if you think he has done things the right or wrong way there isn’t any proof he has ever did anything wrong, so he does deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Don King Doesn’t Refute A Mike Tyson Comeback Is In The Works

I beg someone close to Mike Tyson to put an end to this comeback talk ASAP.  Hell if need be get Oprah on the phone. We reported a rumor about the alleged Tyson comeback and I had just hoped it was just talk, but King spoke to ESPN.com and here is what he had to say in regards to a possible Tyson comeback.

“I ain’t ready to comment on that,” King said. “Read between the lines. It really is something isn’t it, all the interest there is in Mike Tyson?”

It appears the seeds of this comeback was planted back in November when King and Tyson appeared together on Showtime to say they had mended fences.  At the time King mentioned a possible reunion in the ring, but no one pay him any attention, maybe we should.  This is what King said in November.

Mike Tyson To Return To Ring? With Don King? Against Evander Holyfied? Nooo!!

Have you ever been half sleep and kind of reading something, but not really paying attention and then you start to comprehend what you are reading and be like:

WAIT…WHAT?

That was me when I read about this potential Mike Tyson comeback.  At first I thought maybe it was a joke someone just making something up, but when I saw it was from Ringsidereport.com which is a very good boxing site I was like: Read more…

Bill Simmons Saying Tiger Woods Has It Tougher Than Ali = FAIL by Robert Bonnette

I like Bill Simmons.  I read his stuff whenever it shows up on ESPN.com, bought his Book of Basketball, etc.  I’m not one of the haters.  But even I have to say that Bill is out of his mind right now.  For those who don’t know what I’m talking about, let me fill you in.  Bill was on a chat, and actually said the Tiger Wood’s inevitable comeback to golf will be the biggest test any athlete ever faced.  And then came the game winner: he said that Muhammad Ali coming back from exile, triggered by refusing to be drafted to go fight in Vietnam, was the only one who came close.  But wait, there’s more!  When subsequent chat posters took him to task, he stuck by his guns and asserted that by 1970 American sentiment had turned against the war and that all of America under the age of 35 was in his corner.  Uhh…..right. Full Fight Replay of Manny Pacquiao vs. Joshua Clottey

Honestly I don’t know why anyone would want to watch this fight again, but there has been some demand to see the destruction.  Wasn’t even a destruction more of just a lack of effort from Clottey, but here are the links.  It is a part one and part two.  If you make it to part two you are a better person than I.
