I always use the Duke Lacrosse case as an example when I am talking to young journalists about how not to rush to judgment in any case especially rape regardless of the situation.
If you recall Miss Mangum falsely accused three Duke Lacrosse players of rape four years ago in a case that brought to light some of the racial issues on the Duke campus. A black stripper accusing three affluent white men was something the media jumped on right away and it became a very polarizing story.
The homie Sports by Brooks put on his Detective hat (the man doesn’t sleep) and have found not one, but three Clear Channel radio stations who claim to have the apology Tiger will say on Friday.
Since this has been leaked I am sure that Tiger’s PR people will change it around, but it gives me an opportunity to point out how Woods and his team have already destroyed a golden opportunity to nip all this drama in the bud.

After months of being missing in action Tiger Woods will speak on Friday morning at 11am eastern according the CNBC sports business reporter Darren Rovell.
According to a statement issued by his agent, Mark Steinberg, and his spokesman, Glenn Greenspan, and obtained by Bloomberg News, “Tiger Woods will be speaking to a small group of friends, colleagues and close associates at [11 a.m. ET Friday] at the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Tiger plans to discuss his past and his future and he plans to apologize for his behavior.”
