In 2010 for whatever reason it seems more common that when a female is accusing a high profile individual of some sort of sexual misconduct it comes out in a way that doesn’t include the police (excluded the Roethlisberger case).
Jacqueline Massaro says she was hired by former MLB player Lenny Dykstra to be his personal assistant in February of this year.
On the February 19th according to Massaro, Dykstra asked her to come over late night to do some work and this is where the story gets weird. I’ll let the Smoking Gun take over from here: Read more…

All signs are pointing to Tiger Woods returning to the Arnold Palmer Bay Hill Invitional in two weeks. While that is good news for the networks whose ratings have been in the dumps without Tiger, what I find more interesting is that according to the New York Post he has hired Ari Fleischer to help clean up his image.
The reason why I find it interesting is because of some of the people Fleischer has worked for in the past:
George W. Bush
Mark McGwire
The Green Bay Packers in dealing with Brett Favre

As the boss says, we’re here to tell the truth. That’s important because the knives are out for Allen Iverson, as they’ve always been, except that this time he’s finally ripe for the pickings. The media has hated him from day one, largely because they couldn’t understand him, couldn’t find a way to relate to him or his life story, and because he made it clear that he didn’t give a damn what they thought about him. And as I’ve said before, the worst thing you can do the media is act like you don’t need them. It punctures their sense of importance, their idea that they and only they can make or break stars and careers. When you put them in a box, like Tiger Woods did, or tell them where they can go, like Barry Bonds, they become petulant little children. And before long they’ll throw a tantrum. Read more…

It isn’t that I don’t agree with Lamar Odom, it is just hard to take him seriously because he is married to a Kardashian (not the cute one either).
With that being said here is what he had to say about the Lakers current funk:
“We’ve got dudes on the Raptors talking (trash),” he said, noting Toronto hasn’t exactly arrived as an NBA powerhouse. “But our disposition as a team gives some of these young cats, these dudes, the right. They feel like they got the right. A couple of dudes talking to me today, if I’d have talked to Charles Oakley like one of those dudes like that, I probably would have been smacked in my face.” Read more…

KDKA.com (click link for video) in Pittsburgh are claiming they know what Ben Roethlisberger said to police immediately after the alleged sexual assault. Here is his version of the story allegedly.
When Roethlisberger talked to police the night of the event he told them there was no sexual intercourse. He did have sexual contact with the woman but it was not consummated. He said he did not force himself on the woman, but she did fall and hit her head. Read more…

Ben Roethlisberger has yet to talk to Milledgeville investigators or submit to a DNA sample, but the investigation is ongoing.
The police have seized security camera footage from the Capital City nightclub where the alleged assault took place.
TMZ.com asked the owner if any the cameras caught the alleged incident and he responded with:
“No comment”. Read more…

That has to be one of the best alibi’s of all time. I can see the police interview now:
Detective: Mr. Colon at around 1:35am did you witness Mr. Roethlisberger with the accuser?
Colon: No sir.
Detective: Where were you at the time?
Colon: On the dance floor sir.
Detective: What were you doing on the dance floor?
Colon: The Stanky Leg sir. Read more…

Ben Roethlisberger lawyer has been doing a full court press with the media proclaiming his innocence. Nothing had been said from the accuser’s side until this evening when her lawyers made this brief statement:
Attorneys Lee Parks and David Walbert of Parks, Chesin & Walbert urged the news media to keep the alleged victim’s name out of the press and give her and her parents space and time to heal, according to the Milledgeville Union-Recorder.
“Their daughter has done the right thing and reported this matter to the police,” the statement said. “She has been, and will be, available to the authorities to assist them in the criminal investigation. While the matter is under investigation, we ask you to respect her privacy, keep her name out of the press and allow the family space and time to heal.” Read more…

If you notice I rarely call out other bloggers or writers from local newspapers/websites. The reason being we are in the opinion business and everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter how much I disagree with it.
Plus I am not interested in “blogger wars” to me that is silly than Youtube rap beefs. Mainstream media that is a difference story because they need to be held accountable (see: Peter King on Ben Roethlisberger).
Normally if I don’t have anything good to say about an article, I don’t say anything.
Sometimes though you have to make an exception to the rule. When I saw this Orlando Sentinel article suggesting that the Steelers should draft Tim Tebow, at first I thought is was another story slurping the “Tebow Bathwater”, but what I read shocked me: Read more…

According to TMZ.com Ben Roethlisberger’s accuser dropped out of college over the weekend. As one would imagine the stress she is under regardless if she is telling the truth or not would make it hard to continue her studies.
If she is telling the truth then she is dealing with a traumatic event that could scar her for life. Add on the fact that she is a accusing the starting quarterback of one of the most storied franchises in the NFL, I could see how going to History class could be a bit of an issue. Read more…
