Anthopulos was responsible for the Jays acquiring shortstop Troy Tulowitzki, starting pitcher David Price and several more key players during the summer, leading to the team’s first division title and playoff appearance since the 1993 World Series championship.
Anthopoulos was offered to stay with a new extension by new club president Mark Shapiro but decided to resign instead.
