The Washington Redskins got a gem last season when they drafted running back Alfred Morris out of Florida Atlantic in the sixth round.
Morris racked up 1,613 yards and 13 touchdowns in a rookie campaign that saw him carry the Skins at times. Morris told the Pensacola News Journal that even with all his success, “he was a little lost puppy playing for the Skins last season.”
“Last year, I was going in there like a lost little puppy. This year … I’m a lot more confident and more comfortable.”
“Teams this year, they know about me,” Morris told the Pensacola News Journal this week. “Last year, I was, in a sense, a surprise. This year, they know about me. I know it’s going to be tough because I know it’s going to be a bigger challenge, but I love a challenge. I’m looking forward to this year.”
Morris and RG3 will drive opposing defenses crazy for years to come, and if both can continue to stay healthy, should have the Skins appearing in a Super Bowl at some point.
