There are conflicting reports in regards to Roethlisberger’s behavior on the night of the alleged sexual assault. While some have said he was friendly and very accommodating to his fans, there have been others who have said he was rude and arrogant especially with the females who were allowed into his VIP section.
The strongest comment about that behavior has come from Amber Hanley a 21 year old college student who hung out briefly with Roethlisberger and his entourage in the VIP.
Here is what she had to say:
Amber Hanley, a 21-year-old college student, said she and a few friends were also in the VIP area with Roethlisberger. She said she asked the quarterback to take a photo with her friend, whose boyfriend was a fan, but he seemed disappointed that’s all she wanted. Hanley said she rolled her eyes, and Roethlisberger called her an expletive and walked away. Later, Roethlisberger was aggressively hitting on another girl, Hanley said.
Miss Hanley is not the accuser nor do we know if she knows the accuser in any way besides the fact they attend the same school.
The one thing you can take from the quote is that it is quite obvious that Roethlisberger was in a setting he didn’t need to be in considering he was still dealing with rape allegations less than a year old.
I am not saying lock yourself in the house, but you are almost a thirty year old man hanging out with the 18-21 college crowd in an area that isn’t use to celebrities bar hopping. It just isn’t smart on his part.
As I said on a few radio appearances yesterday, Roethlisberger should be praying that his only crime is being an idiot, because if it comes to light these accusations are true he should be behind bars.
