Apparently the outrage sparked by United Airlines’ rough, violent removal of passenger Dr. Dao didn’t serve as an example for an American Airlines flight attendant who struck a mother as she boarded a flight at San Francisco International Airport.
A woman, juggling twins, was attempting to store a stroller in the overhead bin. The male flight attendant became agitated and violently grabbed the stroller, striking the woman and just narrowly avoiding hitting one of her children in the process.
As the woman sobbed, a male passenger stood and said something to the pilot who was watching before sitting back in his seat.
The flight attendant then enters the plane from the jetway and the male passenger stands up and threatens to knock him out.
The airline has issued a statement:
What we see on this video does not reflect our values or how we care for our customers.
The woman and her children were put in first class on a later flight and the employee was “removed from duty.”
First class is little compensation for such an ordeal; expect a lawsuit soon.
