The Philadelphia 76ers and Andrei Kirilenko have not seen eye to eye since Kirilenko was traded to Philly, but now Kirilenko’s plans are clear. The 76ers acquired Kirilenko via trade from the Brooklyn Nets back in December but the 34-year old Kirilenko decided to not report to Philly and was eventually suspended. Since then, no progress was made to convince Kirilenko to report and play for the 76ers so they decided to part ways with the player.
Sixers waived Andrei Kirilenko. Couldn’t find a buyer for him. Couldn’t convince him to play. #SixersTalk

Although Kirilenko was valued by other NBA teams, he has decided to return to Europe and further his baskeball career.
Official for CSKA Moscow tells me Andrei Kirilenko is signing in Russia when he clears waivers.

I don’t blame a veteran like Kirilenko for not wanting to waste the tail end of his basketball career playing for a 76ers team that is in complete rebuild mode. He stood his ground by never showing up after his trade to Philadelphia and now is a free man.
Kirilenko only made 7 appearances with the Brooklyn Nets this season playing just 5.1 minutes per contest.
