Andrew Bynum didn’t play in a single game last season, while salsa dancing and bowling his way to over $16 million in free wages.
Bynum is a free agent and despite critics and pundits questioning his desire, and whether or not he’ll be healthy enough to play, his agent David Lee says he won’t work out for any teams according to Yahoo Sports.
Bynum’s agent, David Lee, said his Bynum will begin training in July in Atlanta in preparation for next season after completing his rehabilitation from knee surgery. The knee injury caused Bynum to miss the entire 2012-13 season with the Sixers. Lee said there are a “half dozen teams” interested in Bynum and they will be given MRI and other needed medical reports. Bynum, however, will not work out for teams.
I can understand Bynum’s thinking here. He’s damaged goods, with two shot knees, and a history of missing games. Bynum and his representatives will force teams to bid for his services based off his previous body of work.
