The Oakland Athletics have made yet another major transaction.
According to SB Nation the team announced that they have acquired slugger Adam Dunn from the Chicago White Sox to give a boost to their struggling offense.
The Athletics have acquired slugger Adam Dunn from the White Sox for minor league pitcher Nolan Sanburn and cash, the team announced Sunday morning.
Dunn is batting .220 with 20 home runs with Chicago this season, and the A’s have forgotten how the score runs and win baseball games in the past month.
After making multiple trades to acquire high end starting pitching earlier in the season, the A’s hit a rough patch in August and are now four games behind the Los Angeles Angels in their division in most part because they can’t hit.
Dunn won’t cure all their ills but his presence in the lineup may be just what they need.
