Online dating is always very risky, and you have to always be wary and careful meeting someone some random person.
There are far too many horror stories like what happened to Nebraska woman Sydney Loofe.
According to Law and Crime, Loofe was murdered back in 2017 after she matched with Bailey Boswell on Tinder. The story gets way worse from here.
Boswell kidnapped Loofe, then tortured him, followed by murdering him, which was then followed by taking apart her body. All for her pleasure.
“The murder was coldly calculated, Boswell relished the murder, there was needless mutilation of the body, the murder was senseless, and Sydney Loofe was a helpless victim,” presiding District Court Judge Vicky Johnson said during Monday’s sentencing hearing, the Omaha World-Herald reported. “Ms. Loofe was completely harmless and her murder was completely unnecessary.”
The judges declined to make Boswell the first woman in Nebraska history to be sentenced to death. One of the three district judges, Peter Bataillon of Omaha, ruled that prosecutors had failed to prove that the slaying met the definition of “exceptional depravity” to warrant the ultimate penalty.
Boswell, 27, betrayed no emotion Monday as she was led from the courtroom in shackles and wearing an orange prison jumpsuit. She did not look at Loofe’s relatives, who were seated in the front rows of a hushed Saline County courtroom, wearing purple T-shirts displaying a picture of Sydney Loofe.
The body was found with sex toys, a dog leash, and a plastic sauna suit although some organs, like her heart, were never found, so who knows what Boswell did with those.
She is insane
Boswell avoided the death penalty but did get a life sentence. She was very lucky not to get the death sentence because it would be justified.
