There once was a time when Michael Jordan wasn’t the king of Nike, or later, the Jordan Brand phenomenon. Jordan rocked converse at UNC, as well as on the 1984 United States Olympic basketball team.
That ’84 team included future NBA stars like Patrick Ewing, Chris Mullin and Sam Perkins among others. A U.S. gold wasn’t guaranteed back then, because America sent its college starts to play against grown men.
A former ball boy for that U.S. Olympic basketball team says he has the actual game worn shoes of Michael Jordan from those games — and of course he’s putting them up for auction.
The guy says MJ signed the sneakers and gifted him after bringing home the gold.
