The Balitmore Ravens are keeping the injury status of future Hall of Fame linebacker Ray Lewis very quiet but sources have told ESPN that the Ravens expect him to play against the Denver Broncos on December 16th.
Head Coach Jim Harbaugh had this to say to the media:
“He is not imminent to return to play (in a game) or anything like that, so to me it’s really a nonstory,” Harbaugh said Wednesday. “He’ll go out there when he’s ready to practice when the elbow holds up. And when that happens, we’ll let you know.”
The Ravens defense has been playing better against the run since Ray’s October 14th injury. Lewis’ major contribution to the team will be emotional and can be what the Ravens need to make a Superbowl push.
