A sad day indeed for the Baton Rouge community as Historical black museum founder Sadie Roberts Joseph was found dead in the trunk of a car. Ms. Joseph was best known for being an activist in the community and discovered the museum. According to Baton Rouge police, she was discovered at 3:45 p.m yesterday. She was 75 years old and as of yet, there are no leads on the investigation.
The police are not releasing too much information as of yet. They haven’t even reported as to how she was found in the first place. One could imagine her being found in a trunk can be linked to a hate crime. It is difficult to think as to how one a person could want to hurt someone as loved as Ms.Joseph was. Police say that she was found roughly 3.5 miles from her home.
Saide will be remembered as a loving member of the community. The officers are investigating to get the actual cause of death. Hopefully, the investigation is thorough and the people responsible will be found. Police urge anyone to know about the case to call (225) 344-7867.
