Steve Donahue can fall back on that sweet victory over Syracuse to ease his wounds, but right now he’s out of a job. Jeff Goodman of ESPN.com is reporting that Boston College has fired Donahue after four seasons.

Donahue, 51, was hired in 2010 by former athletic director Gene Defilippo after taking Cornell to the Sweet 16.
The Eagles were 8-23 this past season, 4-14 in ACC play and 54-76 in Donahue’s tenure.
