Denver Broncos veteran wide receiver has a habit of ruining planned touchdown celebrations for his teammates.
During the 2008 season stopped then teammate Brandon Marshall from brandishing a black glove after a touchdown in support of newly elected President Barack Obama.
Stokley helped Marshall avoid a penalty that night, and according to the Denver Post, Stokley ruined another planned touchdown celebration by Broncos wide receivers Eric Decker and Demaryius Thomas.
Thomas scored a one yard touchdown on the first possession of the second half. He then proceeded to toss the ball to Eric Decker.
Decker was standing under the goalpost preparing to toss the ball up to to Thomas for an alley-oop, but before Thomas could set for his fake dunk, Stokley slapped the ball out of Decker’s hands.
According to Stokley, his comrades were none to pleased.
“What did I get? I mean, they were mad at me on the sideline for stopping them,” Stokley said. “It’s tough being a dad sometimes, you know.”
Stokley for his part feels he saved his teammates about $15,000 to $25,000 in fines,
