Bruce Smith is willing to tell it all. Well…at least not who it was who openly identified with the LGBTQ.
TMZ Sports caught up with the NFL Hall of Famer who spoke on how NFL players coming out gay isn’t new.
Homosexuality “didn’t matter” to Smith despite who he knew was living that lifestyle.
“We had a gay player in our locker room,” Smith says … “I think it was the mid to late 90s and I think we might have had 2 but that wasn’t what we were focused on.”
“Judge me by my character and judge me by the way I treat people. If we show a little bit more love and compassion in the world, this will be a much better place.”
Smith’s focus was only on winning and if the man could play…the rest was a distraction.
