Karen Civil Responds to Accusations She Stole Money From Rappers

Karen civil

Karen Civil has finally broken her silence in an interview to Essence, after being accused of being a thief and liar from rapper Camron yesterday.

You’re all about bringing positive vibes to social media, yet right now you’re receiving a lot of negative backlash on Instagram. Let’s talk about it.
Yeah. I’ve gotten to a point where this isn’t the first time it has happened to me. It’s all about how you use your social platform. Right now, I’m just using mine to empower people, get my entertainment and my news. Other people use their platform for different things. It’s unfortunate that cyberbullying is something that happens to 13-year-old kids in junior high and adults in the workplace. It’s something that we have to deal with as Americans. I am now a testament to it, and it’s happening to me. It’s definitely an unfortunate situation.

As far as this most recent cyberbullying incident, you told your version of something that transpired, and now you’re being attacked and called a liar publicly. That seems crazy.
I’m not going to feed into it. I’m at a different place in my life.

Do you ever read the negative comments? How do you personally handle them?
I honestly haven’t had the time. I have a lot happening this week that I’m really excited about, especially with doing campaign trail stuff with Hillary [Clinton]. This is a really big and important week for me. I’ve been working on some future plans and things that I have planned for Haiti, and I’ve been meeting with my team about that for the last two days. It’s been a little hectic on my end, but I haven’t had the time to read them.

What advice would you offer to anyone who gets cyberbullied or shamed online?
You have to make sure that you have a great core group of friends around you … Everyone doesn’t handle bullying the same way. It may be family or friends, or someone around you, to help support you through your time of need. Words do cut, and they do hurt. It was one thing growing up where you were bullied, but you’d just come home. Now you can’t really escape it. It’s to a point where you turn off that phone, you live your life and you try not to let the words of others offend or stop you from being you and living your life.

She didn’t really go into detail about the incident and basically circled around the allegations.  Karen…come on now. You know how the internet works. You were dating someone in Meek Mill’s camp while his beef happened with Drake.  You know exactly how trolls work on here. Camron leaked the audio and instead of just admitting you did what you had to do to get to the top, you want to plug in the fact that you’re going to be with Hillary Clinton next week.  It looks like we won’t be getting the REAL side of things from Karen anytime soon.

Bball Players Leave Court After Fans Bully Disabled Cheerleader (Video)

Capture

Middle school can be a very cruel place, and even crueler to children with disabilities. That’s what makes this story so important.

Meet Desiree Andrews–a cheerleader at Lincoln Middle school in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Desiree has Down syndrome, however, despite this she still enjoys participating with the rest of her cheer squad in rooting her school’s team on. So you can imagine her uncomfortable position when a small section of immature students began to tease her from the stands, loud enough to get the attention of the kids playing on the court.

That’s when the story takes a positive turn for the better.

Three players in particular, Miles Rodriguez, Scooter Terrien and Chase Vazquez; immediately walked off the court, DURING PLAY, to check the parties responsible for the teasing. Here is the report from WTMJ-TV:

More of this please. We could all take a lesson from this group of 8th graders.

Dolphins Mike Pouncey Tweets About Hazing New Rookie

mike-pouncey-feels-bad-for-riley-cooper

Mike Pouncey should stick to pancaking defensive lineman and leave the jokes to actually funny people. Fresh off the bully scandal that dominated news of the Dolphins season last year, Pouncey fired off this tweet last night :

Now on one hand you can dismiss this as a joke. I suspect that the people quickest to do that are the ones who were also quick to dismiss the bully allegation or are Dolphins fans. On the other hand, Pouncey just made an idiotic statement and should know not to joke about that type of thing after what happened last year.

I’m sure the team will talk to him about it soon.

incognito Luck

The full Ted Wells investigation report has been released and there is a lot to take in.

This part is pretty bad for Incognito and friends:

After a thorough examination of the facts, we conclude that three starters on the Dolphins offensive line, Richie Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey, engaged in a pattern of harassment directed at not only Martin, but also another young Dolphins offensive lineman, whom we refer to as Player A for confidentiality reasons, and a member of the training staff, whom we refer to as the Assistant Trainer. We find that the Assistant Trainer repeatedly was targeted with racial slurs and other racially derogatory language. Player A frequently was subjected to homophobic name-calling and improper physical touching. Martin was taunted on a persistent basis with sexually explicit remarks about his sister and his mother and at times ridiculed with racial insults and other offensive comments.

Also, the part that rejects Incognito’s claim of Martin making it all up sting too:

We reject the assertion by Incognito that Martin has fabricated claims of harassment after the fact. Contemporaneous text messages that Martin sent to his parents and others months before he left the Dolphins—which have never before been made public—corroborate Martin’s account that he was distressed by insults from his teammates and experiencing emotional turmoil because he believed he was “a push over” who was unable to stop the verbal assaults.

Richie Incognito No Longer Suspended by Dolphins

richie

Richie Incognito is no longer suspended by the Dolphins. However, that does not mean that he is back on the team. He is actually a free agent now:

I don’t think there is much of a chance either Incognito or Jonathan Martin will be back with the Dolphins next year. It will be interesting from here to see if they get another job and if so, with what team.

Jonathan Martin Fondling Two Strippers At Strip Club (Photo)

jonathan martin strip club

This photo obtained by TMZ is allegedly from this past summer at one of he now infamous meetings that Richie Incognito is said to have had at Miami strip club Tootsie’s. From the looks of it, Martin appears to be enjoying himself on this occasion but I suppose he could be faking. From the report:

But sources connected to the NFL investigation tell TMZ Sports … Martin had sent several text messages to Richie before the fallout making it clear he was VERY comfortable hanging out in strip clubs.

In fact, we’re told the picture (above) was taken at Tootsie’s during a team outing in the summer of 2013. Sources connected to the strip club tell us Martin was hanging out with roughly 15 to 30 teammates that night and appeared to be enjoying himself (just look at the grin and the stack of cash in his hand).

We’re also told … the text messages show Martin would OFTEN reach out to Incognito about his fondness for strip clubs, especially Tootsie’s … and never gave any hint that he was ever uncomfortable in that scene.

I’m not judging Martin for having a good time at the club but the issue is whether or not he was forced to go or made to feel uncomfortable. I think most of us would sign up to be “bullied” at Tootsie’s.

You be the judge.

Richie Incognito Files Grievance Against Dolphins

richie-incognito-playoff-contender-

Well it looks like Richie Incognito is not going down without a fight. He has filed a grievance against the Dolphins for lost wages according to Albert Breer:

Incognito is also challenging his status of being suspended indefinitely. Under the rules, he has a requested an expedited hearing which you could see coming from a mile away since he is losing money each game he sits.

This is just another twist in the Incognito/Martin saga. Just think, we still haven’t heard Jonathan Martin speak on the situation.

NBA Teams Receive Memo: Bullying Not Tolerated

NBA Heat Raptors 20131105

In the midst of the storm coming down on the Miami Dolphins after reports about bullying and hazing came to light, NBA officials sent a memo to all 30 NBA teams reminding them that bullying or hazing at any level will not be tolerated.

According to ESPN, the memo listed a number of violations including the following:

Any physical abuse or threats of violence; verbal abuse focused on an individual’s race, nationality, color, gender, age, religion, sexuality, etc.; destruction, defacement or theft of a fellow player’s personal property; engaging in any activity that intimidates or threatens fellow players with ostracism or inflicts extreme mental stress, embarrassment, humiliation or shame; and forcing an individual to engage in any activity or perform any task that violates federal, state or local law or NBA rules and regulations.

Also prohibited, sources said, is requiring an individual to unreasonably pay for meals, travel, entertainment expenses, goods or services that are being solely enjoyed by others as well as imposing physical activities on a fellow player — such as exposure to weather, confinement in a restricted area, or consumption of food, liquid or substance — that leads to unreasonable risk for the individual or adversely affects their mental or physical health or safety

Sources from multiple teams claim that NBA culture is much different from NFL culture. One team official from the Western Conference said,

“I’ve been around for a while and I’ve never really heard any crazy stories.”

In our society bullying is not acceptable at any level, not even amongst some of the greatest athletes in the world. Expect to see more memos like this in the future.

Report: Richie Incognito Held O-Line Meetings At A Strip Club

This has got to take the cake.

Jason Cole of The National Football Post is reporting that Richie Incognito would sometimes hold offensive line meetings at a local strip club, and guys who didn’t feel obligated were fined by Incognito according to the report.

According to two sources, suspended Dolphins guard Richie Incognito regularly held meetings for the team’s offensive linemen at a South Florida strip club, demanding that other linemen attend at the location. Incognito went so far as to “fine” teammates in an erstwhile kangaroo court if they did not show up.

“Richie wanted to set up Richie’s world as a way for everybody to act,” a team source said. “Richie thinks everybody should act that way. He doesn’t get that some guys aren’t into that behav-ior. Some guys don’t want to constantly explain to their wife or girlfriend why they have to go to a strip club.”

If players didn’t go, Incognito would mock them for not being part of the group, one of the sources said.

I’m not sure if it’s true or not, but it’s hilarious.

Richie Incognito Stars in PSA Telling Fans How to Behave (Video)

10341-richie-incognito-tattoo_large

Dolphins offensive lineman Richie Incognito is in a lot of trouble right now. There are all of the allegations of him being the center of the NFLPA’s investigation into the bullying of Johnathan Martin including making him pay 15k for a Vegas trip, his twitter rant against Adam Schefter, and the team suspending him last night.

Now we found this interesting nugget. The Dolphins have been using Incognito in a PSA to fans before games instructing them how to behave properly. Something tells me that this will be pulled for their next home game.

Oh the irony.
