The Buffalo Bills will be without their best player indefinitely as running back C.J. Spiller has been excused from the team to go be with his family in Florida. Spiller’s step-grandfather allegedly killed two people before also killing himself this past Saturday.
No word on when Spiller could be back or his status for week 1, his head coach Doug Marrone had this to say via CBSsports.com
“I talked to him when we landed from the Washington game,” coach Doug Marrone said. “I obviously excused him to be able to go back and handle obviously what is a personal situation. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims as well as C.J. and his family in this situation.”
Our prayers go to the victim’s families and Spiller’s as they deal with this horrible situation.
