As a fan of the classic video game horror series “Resident Evil” I was thrilled to see that I would be able to relive my childhood via PS4,untill I saw the price. According to IGN.com the game is available for pre-order now for only $199.99 if you’re brave enough to purchase. Many feel this game is overpriced, almost costing triple normal cost of a normal game. For context the regular edition of “Madden 19” is $59.99 before taxes. Along with the game and a smaller bank account it includes:
-Special deluxe packaging
-Extra DLC Pack Card
– Choice of 5 custom costumes
-Deluxe weapon (Samurai Edge – Albert Model)
-“Original Version” soundtrack, an action figure (Leon S. Kennedy)
-Art Book
-Digital Soundtrack
-“R.P.D.” Renovation Design Poster
Now if you think 199.99 is crazy, then brace yourself because if you want to be exclusive and own the Japanese Premium edition it is going to run you about the same as one month of a sports car at the whopping price of $900 dollars. According to GameRant.com it includes it own special set of collectables.
As indicated in the screenshot below of Capcom’s Japanese website, the Resident Evil 2 Premium Edition will contain a Bluetooth-enabled Lexington vintage typewriter keyboard that comes with a charging cable, an apparent active battery life of up to seven days, and compatibility with Windows, MacOS, as well as iOS and Android devices. What’s more is that this pricey package for the remake also includes a statue of Leon Kennedy, four “ink ribbons” that are actually rolls of masking tape, a Raccoon Police Station poster, an official art book and soundtrack CD, a DLC voucher, a collector’s chest, and of course, a copy of the game.
The game is expected to be release on January 25, 2019 for PC, Xbox 1 and PS4, so start budgeting now.
