Marvel has just announced that Captain America: Civil War has officially begun production in Atlanta, Georgia.
Captain America: Civil War picks up where Avengers: Age of Ultron left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity.
Drawing inspiration from the Marvel Comics Civil War event by Mark Millar and Steven McNiven, the third Captain America movie will follow the events of Avengers: Age of Ultron and see Captain America (Chris Evans) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) leading opposing factions struggling to determine superheroes’ place in the world. Here’s the first official synopsis released by Marvel.
As Marvel revealed today, Civil War will feature numerous character from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Included in the Cap threequel are Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier, The Falcon, The Vision, War Machine, Scarlet Witch, Ant-Man, Thunderbolt Ross, Black Panther, Sharon Carter, and Crossbones. Martin Freeman’s character went unconfirmed in the announcement.
