According to TMZ, Max Joseph, co-host of the hit MTV series Catfish, quit the show.
Max helped create the show 7 years ago, with co-star, Nev Schulman, and these two friends have been getting in everybody’s business ever since.
Max told TMZ that he is looking to pursue a career in film making:
For a while now I have been straddling two careers as TV host and filmmaker and, while this level of busy-ness is a dream come true, my life can no longer sustain it.
With ‘Catfish’ still going strong after 7 seasons, 115 episodes, 31 specials and showing no sign of slowing down, I feel it is finally the time for me to make my exit.
MTV has not announced if they’re going to cast a new co-host for Catfish yet.
Max’s final episode will air August 22nd.
Oddly enough, this marks the ending of an internet dating era on MTV. One we all might want to try to forget about.
