You can add Charlamagne Tha God to the list of people who have apologized to Kwame Brown for speaking badly on his name.
Charlamagne is from the same hometown as Brown and while talking about Brown’s beef with Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes he decided to speak out about Brown’s family.
Charlamagne told the world that Brown’s father and brother are violent murderers.
Brown said he never knew what his father was in jail for and didn’t even know his brother. As you can imagine this upset Brown and he started speaking about Charlamagne’s rape case where he pleaded to a delinquency of a minor.
Charlamagne sent Kwame Brown a cease and desist to stop talking about the case.
Today on the Breakfast Club, Charlamagne decided to give an apology.
“I’m sure I caused pain for not only Kwame Brown but for his family—‘specially, his family in my hometown of Moncks Corner, South Carolina. You know how I know? Because I spoke to a few of them,” he said around the clip’s 1:30 minute mark. “I was apologizing for triggering them.”
“Since I unintentionally caused trauma, I need to be intentional about causing healing,” Charlamagne said.
Kwame Brown is not accepting the apology because he doesn’t feel like it is sincere and that by putting this out it makes Kwame seem crazy and that he might snap.
