Tim Tebow’s NFL journey didn’t take much of the traditional route. He’s been in the spotlight since entering the NFL winning over many fan with his positive attitude and drive but hasn’t played up to par on the field. Tebow signed with the Eagles this off-season and was viewed as a long shot to make the team but he appears to have won the vote of the only person that matters, Chip Kelly.
According to Dianna Marie Russini of ESPN, Tebow has impressed coach Chip Kelly and is expected to make the team barring no major slip-ups during the rest of the preseason. Coach Kelly is intrigued by Tebow’s running ability which could serve as a great addition to the Eagles redzone and short yardage offense.
Matt Barkley, who is currently listed as the Eagles third-string quarterback, has been made available via trade which further confirms Kelly’s desire to keep Tebow.
