Cavs Fire GM Chris Grant

NBA: Cleveland Cavaliers-Press Conference

They talked about big changes coming in Cleveland, but who knew it would be an executive.

According to Sam Amico, the Cleveland Cavaliers have fired GM Chris Grant.

We can start at several places to help explain the firing.

Grant is responsible for Anthony Bennett being the worst No.1 pick ever, he hired Byron Scott and he’s responsible for every dysfunctional player on the roster.

Then you pile on the embarrassing loss to the Lakers Wednesday night in which L.A. didn’t even have enough healthy players to finish the ballgame, and you can see why he’s gone.

Cavs GM Says Fans Deserve Better

The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a disappointing season so far. Kyrie Irving hasn’t quite become that superstar he looked like he was about to become. Also, the Bynum experiment obviously didn’t work out. Cavs GM Chris Grant knows fans are frustrated and he is too:

“We’re all accountable for it, including myself,” he told reporters, according to The Cleveland Plain Dealer‘s Mary Schmitt Boyer. “It’s frustrating. It’s disappointing. The fans deserve better.”

Cavs fans have the right to be pretty upset at this point. The team is 16-29 in the awful East and there hope of getting LeBron back gets smaller each day.

Maybe a strongly worded letter from Dan Gilbert would help fire them up?
