Chris Weidman didn’t exactly mince words when talking about his upcoming opponent Vitor Belfort and his usage of testosterone replacement therapy.
The UFC middleweight champion flat out accused Belfort of cheating due to the elevated levels of testosterone that was detected in pre-fight drug screenings.
I don’t blame Weidman one bit for saying what he said and being upset about it. I’ve always thought the usage of testosterone therapy was a bit sketchy and was just a legal way around the rules to gain an advantage.
There is no reason why Belfort’s testosterone levels should be so elevated heading into a fight, but we won’t have to wait very long to see if it makes a difference or not. This storyline just makes this fight even more intriguing and even more interesting to watch.
