The struggling New Orleans Saints make the harrowing trip up to Lambeau field to square off against the Packers this Sunday, but they shouldn’t go in expecting sympathy.
According to Packers Pro-Bowl linebacker Clay Matthews “They have no sympathy for us and we don’t for them,”
That’s a great approach to what’s a must-win game for both teams, as the Packers come in with just a 1-2 record. The Saints are dreading hitting that 0-4 skid which is the point of no return in the NFL with all playoff hopes from thereon out dashed.
The Packers come in to tomorrow’s game still reeling after having their win over the Seattle Seahawks essentially stolen from them and are frankly ‘pissed off’. Tomorrow’s game will prove to be a battle of who’s had more than enough, and is ready to come out of their early season malaise and start getting serious.
There’s no sympathy to be had on either side, nor would we expect there to be. Ultimately both teams need to stop under performing, and the Packers for one cannot allow another game with 8 sacks to Aaron Rodgers then bitch and moan about how they didn’t win. Tough luck.
