Recap
Well, the Big 12 gets left at the alter this year after failing to crown one true champion despite their conference slogan. I think not having a conference title game ended up hurting the Big 12 as a whole this year and I think they will try to change that going forward to prevent another mess like this. While Ohio State had the worst one loss of all the teams fighting to get into the playoff, their massacre of Wisconsin in the Big 10 championship game swung the momentum in the favor. Not only did they destroy Wisconsin, they held down one of the best running backs in the country and did that while playing with the third string quarterback. As a football fan, these matchups move the needle for me in a big way and despite some good teams getting left out, I think they will generate plenty of buzz and we will get blessed with some great football. Alabama and Ohio State in New Orleans will bring together two of the most hardcore fan bases in the country and Oregon and Florida State will potentially matchup two Heisman trophy winning quarterbacks and two future first round picks, we all win in this situation. Get your popcorn ready and go get you some hot wings, the bowl season is upon us folks.
